IATA, being the trade association of the global airline industry, created the Center of Excellence for Independent Validators in Pharmaceutical Logistics (CEIV Pharma). It’s aim is to help organizations and the entire air cargo supply chain to get on the right track to achieve pharmaceutical handling excellence.
CEIV Pharma addresses industry’s need for more safety, security, compliance and efficiency, by the creation of a globally consistent and recognized pharmaceutical product handling certification.

By establishing a common baseline from existing regulations and standards, this certification ensures international and national compliance to safeguard product integrity while addressing specific air cargo needs.
Ferry van der Ent of VanDerEnt Consultancy passed IATA’s training course on both management and operating level (with distinction) and is able to support companies in meeting the requirements of the 300+ checkpoints, hence preparing your company for validation.
Previously he was in charge of the community initiative Task force “Vaccines Gateway Netherlands”, which concerned the logistics and distribution of Covid vaccines from, to and via the Netherlands. Earlier he established Pharma Gateway Amsterdam, a collaboration entity of airlines, handling agents, forwarders and trucking companies offering shippers an IATA CEIV Pharma certified closed airfreight supply chain.
